Brief Introduction:

Safety against outbreaks for the photovoltaic system
Photovoltaic systems are exposed to direct and indirect ray events. The impact of the events of lightning increases with the size of the pv system. The poorly protected photovoltaic systems will suffer repeated and significant damage and will thus result in substantial repair and replacement costs, system downtime and loss of revenue. Properly installed outbreak protection devices (spds) shall minimise the potential impact of lightning events.
Photovoltaic system sensitive electrical equipment such as an ac/dc inverter, monitoring devices and photovoltaic matrix shall be protected by outbreak protection devices (spd).
